Kirsten Rohrs Schmitt, founder and director of Your Best Edit, is an accomplished college admissions essay coach, academic tutor, writer, and editor, with more than two decades of experience. She assists students; crafts winning resumes; writes content for business owners, print, and digital platforms; academia, and nonprofits.
Kirsten founded Your Best Edit in 2016. Her results-oriented and personalized approach with students, graduates, and professionals helps them to reach their greatest potential through the written word. She has written content for W, Reader’s Digest, Colonial Homes, and Love of Quilting, and edited text at dozens of publications, including Condé Nast Traveler, Town & Country, Prevention, and Country Living.
In her diversified career, Kirsten has produced marketing and editorial materials for Adelphi University, UP Business Communications, and The Center for the Advancement of Women. She has a BFA from Temple University, an MA from Parsons School of Design, and is a Brooklyn native who currently lives in the Greater New York area.
